Morning everyone, absolutely hissing down here and so very grey.
@Busy-Lizzie that's very interesting. Roses have gone up online. DA roses are more expensive this year too. But they often have 20% off or free delivery which helps.

Good morning Ante, Debs, SGL and Ruby.
Ante - you weren't there when I did my first post. So pleased you are feeling better.
Yvie, enjoy your day today. I realise you have a lot to pack in but, as you say, the visit will be a job ticked off.
SGL, I am expecting some rain today - typical!
Ruby, I hope your delivery doesn't keep you hanging around waiting forever!

    Morning all.

I had a bad night. OH was snoring so much I went to the guest room.

Grey here, forecast says rain after 10am. I was hoping to finish clearing up the dead MH rose. Better get a move on to put the big garden bags under cover. Don't want them all wet in the car.

    Morning all,

It's Marti here, for a change!

Work is slow going whilst I get up and running, so might not be able to get any more poll cards delivered until the weekend. As for any gardening, not likely - too busy for that :o

    Good afternoon,

glad you feel better @Ante1. It probably was due to tiredness, as you say.

It’s a drizzly, damp day here, and likely to remain so for the rest of the day. Chilly with it, too. Such a contrast to the lovely bright day we had yesterday.

The grass is growing well, and could do with a cut, but it’s just too wet to tackle right now. I hope it dries up soon, so that I can get it done.

OH been diagnosed with kidney stones after spending all Friday in A & E. He’s still feeling uncomfortable, but the pain is no where near as intense as it was early hours Friday. We now wait for an urology referral, and in the mean time he must drink more water.

Listening to snoring is no joke, is it @ Busy-Lizzie? It’s impossible to tune out from it, I find.

Good afternoon all. Well it has tipped it down all day and I have had an absolute mare of a day (Ante - like a bad dream but in the day time). I needed some compost and drove to my favourite GC - I also had a coupon that was burning a hole in my pocket! As I came out of the GC and approached the T Junction, I was run into by another car which was indicating going left but didn't. It was heaving it down and I was very busy trying to get in touch with my insurance company etc. etc. for the best part of 2 hours. To cut a long story short, the driver of the recovery vehicle took pity on my drowned rat appearance and, as the repair shop poor Vinny had to be taken to meant he drove passed my house to get there, he cleared his passenger seat and told me to climb aboard. I was never more relieved! I (and the other driver) were uninjured. One of my friends is driving me to pick up a courtesy car on Thursday so I will probably pass on going to Bestie's. Apart from being very wet and very cold I was OK - nothing that pigging out on lunch and a good hot cuppa (plus dry clothes) couldn't put right.
@Red maple speaking of grass cutting, two council men on big gang mowers cut the stretch of grass outside my house before I left this morning - leaving big clumps of very wet grass all over the place.

Thank you for your kind words Ruby. x I will be doing a lot of cosseting tonight. I only hope that they pay respect to my large bag of compost in the boot
