We are going to the seaside for two weeks just when the warmth is expected. but I will probably miss some of the action in the garden. the lovely Gret’s joy. I will miss this rose next year.baron Giron de .. Opening also. The white on the leaves are milk spray I have noticed some traces of mildew so went immediately in…
I fancy growing Rosa Glauca, always liked the leaves and its hips. How easy would it be to keep it relatively compact, without ruining its natural tendencies.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I’ve lost quite a few of my rose seedlings earlier in the year, but this one has survived. It’s the same I’ve shown flowering in spring. It has scented semi-double flowers and the leaves have a dark edge. Definitely a keeper for me.
Excellent potted delivery from pococks roses yesturday, ordered Rhapsody in blue & love knot as gifts, and replaced my orienta Aladdin persica climber as I got the wrong thing before. Lovely big pots, tall plants covered in buds, with immaculate foliage! Very pleased. They have a buy one get one half price on certain potted at the moment too. Came with the lovely colour catalogue which I can only describe as 'dangerous'
Here, it is rain for a moment, and then sunshine. Munstead Wood has flowered well in the second flush; unfortunately one of the branches with the most flowers has tipped over with the weight of the flowers and the wind. (Sorry, I haven't removed the debris from the pots). I might try to propagate those stem cuttings. You can see it in the photo below, Eustacia Vye in the front. My earlier similar attempt with Jude the Obscure didn't succeed. 🤞this time. Parfum Royal Blue Moon Sweet Honey Summer Song This is how R. Jean Robie flower looks like after a few days. Faded, but still clean in spite of the intermittent rain. Blush noisette Pearl of St Luke HT flowers straight as a ramrod. Ebb tide
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
