https://www.europa-rosarium.de/de/unser-rosarium @Marlorena have you tried to contact the people in Sangerhausen? They do have some very rare roses and sell some of them every autumn. It's always a gamble as so few plants are available.
@Rojas My husband shows an interest but only if they're strongly scented... his nose isn't too good..
@Eustace Better luck with yours I hope.. I gave it 3 years of my best soil and time..
@ElbFee I know of them.. I've been through their rare rose offerings and it's not listed.. also it's just too difficult now to import from Europe.. I got mine from 16-Eichen but I think they're out of business. They didn't reply to my emails before.. Thanks for trying to help.. c'est la vie ..
@Marlorena your list made me look up Marie Nabonnand, and wow it looks stunning. But a quick search doesn't show it available at the usual places... Do you have any idea where one might buy it in the UK?
@Herbloom Unfortunately no, it's not sold here, not since about 2006.. I imported from France some years ago but that source is no longer viable. Nollie has it but I don't know where he got it from. I hope to get it into commerce at some point, I intend to contact a rose nursery to see if they want budwood.. I'll get around to it later.. I'm delighted you like it too.. it flowers continuously and is thornless..
Europa Sangerhausen in Germany have it listed amongst their rarities but they only despatch within Germany I think..
My rose plants are suffering from lack of rain; water butt is empty. Tess of the d'urbervilles - had to use zoom in the phone camera to take this photo, as it is climbing up the fig tree. Timeless Charisma - just opening. Timeless pink in the foreground with Palais Royal in the back. Red finesse - nice crimson red. Sweet Honey - bought it last year after seeing @pitter-patter's glorious one. Hope it will develop to a similar abundance in a few years. Louise Odier All these photos were taken just now, almost after the sun has set in the dull gloomy light.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
