My Guislaine de Feligonde is tantalisingly close to opening. OH watered it last night for me. Penelope up on the wall bed is going bananas as always, a good dooer. The two roses might eventually meet!
@Tack your roses are truly leaping in their third season 😊 @pitter-patter@CatDouch I too thought that the unknown yellow is The Pilgrim. Mine has not yet opened and I am waiting for it to flower so that I can compare. Though it is a climbing rose, the stems are quite stiff. @Alfie_ good choices. @purplerallim I too cut a few roses everyday for a vase during this season. @Lizzie27 your roses are fantastic.
Rose Mum in a Million - was gifted last year. Very nice scent 😊
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
Big congrats on your standards, @Alfie__, esp Chandos Beauty! Mine is in the ground but many people do keep them in pots.
Eyes for You... which escaped death row at the last possible moment. Regretting my moment of mercy already. Just a few spots of blackspot appearing on Tranquillity now. Twilight Zone smells better today! It's beautiful. Sarah is now a fluffy whipped dessert. Phenomenal fragrance Buff Beauty in its forgotten corner The Alnwick Rose
Another great quality plant from Trevor White. I am amazed to witness how they grow not so healthy Prospero so well.
Constance Spry today.
Cymbeline Wildrover: got a potted rose from PB after seeing how beautiful they are at @Marlorena's garden. Still couldn't get the darkest colour of yours.
Olivia Rose: Silas Marner: Kathryn Morley for @WAMS Queen of Sweden: Tied the tallest stem sideways during winter and it has produced flowers. James Galway:
All very lovely today.. plenty of standout roses.. having some nice weather by the looks of it.. 'Cornelia' at its best.. 'Tall Story'.. 'Lady of Shalott'.. 'Desdemona' .. still looking good.. Hesperis matronalis.. a simple annual for an obelisk..
I am several weeks behind most you so am just finally getting to share my first rose of the year! My Eden climber won the race, with a flower near ground level:
A side view of A Whiter Shade Of Pale. The flowers hold their form very well before fading.
@WAMS just like your Sarah it's another fluffy dessert.
Red Abundance complete with its two best friends: an aphid and blackspot. It is a magnet for both but has very velvety red flowers.
I only bought it one January because I was feeling sorry for it. It must have been grown in a nice warm environment and was coming out into leaf too early. It had then ended up in a pot outside a frosty Morrisons. So I bought it for £5 and put in in the greenhouse until the weather improved.
Portland was bare root in December, so doing well for her first year.
Don't grow up - grow sideways.
Gardening in the West Midlands on a mix of neutral loamy sand & Victorian building rubble.

I love your Cornelia, @Marlorena
Only one more rose out - Twice in a BM. The fragrance is lovely:
