It seems he has 2 congenital problems.  One we knew about is an inability to contract fully his claws so we can hear him pattering about the parquet upstairs.   His 2nd, confirmed today, is a congenital heart problem leading to the thickening of the wall in the ventricle that pumps blood to the aorta.  This now needs to be monitored.

Any pussycat, faced with a 2nd trip to the vet in 2 months is likely to panic and try and climb up his mum.  I should have known better.  He was very well behaved once I'd calmed him.

You could always give it to someone else @pansyface. I can't see the appeal of chutney either.

Come up with a medical-ish reason why you can't eat it any more - maybe you could suddenly start getting terrible indigestion from chutney (any chutney, not just theirs)?

Don't check if your newly sharpened secateurs are actually sharp, by running the blade along your finger.

  • @Jenny_Aster, are you still there? Do you need rescuing?
My don't is don't stretch too far at an impossible angle when tidying a border of weeds and leaves.
A branch of the climbing hydrangea kindly poked me in the eye as I was doing the above. Fortunately my glasses saved me from what could have been a nasty injury.

@Jenny_Aster my Mum did something similar but she ended up imprisoned in the garden shed by the lawnmower (the handle fell over and jammed the door).

Hope your mum wasn't imprisoned too long. Bloody lawnmowers.....
