    @NormandyLiz I hope it wasn't Himalayan Balsam in your boggy area. May have been Kashmir Balsam, same family but smaller and less invasive, I've seen it often in France. Had some once. Its seeds ping out all over the place.

    Confuse beloved foxgloves with green alkanet (which has blue flowers and verrry deep roots). The alkenet is here to stay!

    Don't wear black trousers and a cotton T-shirt to take a white cat for an ECG!

    Despite being thoroughly groomed this am he shed abundant hairs all over the place and, cos he's a bit of a scaredy cat, he panicked and clung to me when I took him out of his travelling cage and I now have bloody pin pricks all over.
