Cat poop on block paving

  • If you don't feel comfortable speaking with Cat;s owner, then you are left with the various solutions mentioned above.
If the spray solutions work , you will probably have to clean/spray your drive after rainfall tho which could be somewhat tiresome.
An alternative would be to make friends with Cat and provide it with a Toilet space for it's personal use - a little sign *sh*t here".  Ah, thinking about it, you'd actually have to teach Cat to read tho - you could be in for a long job  :D  Good luck anyway.

Douse the whole area down with a strong disinfectant,  everyday if needs be.

Cats hate the smell of citrus, so spraying citrus oil around may help.
  • Thanks all

I will sleep on these ideas and then come back seeking  bit more advice and try and will update after that

As you've identified the owner, would you like me to have a chat with them. More than happy to help. Wish I knew where all the creatures sh!tting all over my garden called home!

  • Hey Biglad
Thanks for the kind offer but no.  My OH says I'm a pushover and they too are upset by the cat mess but agrees with me it is best not to go over as most people are quiet nasty and rude. I could offer to save two weeks wroth and place it on their drive in front of their door, just joking. Thank you again.
  • Cats shit all over my gardens - on the doorstep, on chicken wire, on gravel, on concrete, in the flower pots. None of them bother covering it up. It's not unusual here. I don't know if they are marking their territory or just lazy and unfussed. There are so many cats locally that maybe the density takes the edge of their normal behaviour. My advice is to remove it the minute you see it so the area doesn't become a permanent toilet area. If it's a long problem, sonic devices do work.
