I'd like to see the presenting duties shared, with maybe 3 or 4 presenters with different types of garden, different soil, different climates taking turns. We occasionally get Adam Frost and now Frances, but it would be nice if they could both be on more often. I agree Frances's garden is a bit small for a full programme but if she could get ongoing permission for filming at the garden where she works too, that would be good. I was rather envious that she could keep her own plants in the greenhouse there!

  • The two gardeners with their vegetable gardens, introduced us to varieties we had never heard of before. My OH isn’t normally very interested in watching the Monty Don episodes, but really enjoyed Frances’s episode too. OH loved the breakout into Dartmoor, just the combination of ornamental, produce and wild nature was really great. Well done Frances!, OH said.

Sounds like a plan @JennyJ I think that would be a great format.

I'm getting pretty bored with Longmeadow and it's always nice when we have an episode from Adam's garden, so to add France's garden to the program would be even better.

She must have a deal with the owners that her job allows her to house her treasures and also spend time presenting form there as well as her own garden.  Add to that the sorting out of her own new garden and there's plenty to film.

I did like the way she said to wait and watch when acquiring a garden before diving in to clear it all and make a blank canvas tho I do wonder what will hapen with that Gingko when it does get too big.   I hope it will be re-homed.

Did anybody catch the name of the garden where Francis said she was employed as the head gardener? I couldn't quite make it out. Presumably somewhere near Dartmoor but maybe not one open to the public.

    Just watched last night’s episode.

    Loved it.

Frances is so watchable and I’d definitely welcome more episodes fronted by her.

Another episode which seemed to fly by. 👍🏼

At the end of an episode (not sure which one, watched a few back to back) on Adam's jobs for the weekend, he was scattering some sort of fertilizer around trees and shrubs. It made me wonder whether I should be feeding my shrubs? if so what should I be using? tia
