Prices for a week in Gran Canaria have gone from about £1,600 down to £900. Maybe I WILL get away for a week at Easter after all

I think Waitrose and M&S see us all coming; but, I have never regretted being seen in either place ;)

Chicken pieces were silly cheap in M&S yesterday. I thought I'd misread the label.

I thought chicken clucked rather than cheeped?  I'll get my coat on the way out.

Our remaining chicken clucks, scolds, croons and squawks and always has a lot to say for herself.  She's very entertaining.

RTBC today - Rasta doggy - 16 on Friday -  has just had a session of acupuncture and osteopathy with the vet who has rearranged her entire spine and her hips which are arthritic.   Rasta was very good throughout and declared to be in excellent form for her age.   Small modification to her plant based meds and she's good to go.

    Bonzo's turn next week.

I have found that the flowers from M&S are always absolutely lovely.  In the past, I used a local florist for sending flowers.  They were very highly priced and sometimes not in very good condition; so I moved to M&S.  So far as I know, they have always been exceptionally good.

Severn Trent have been installing water meters in our area, but there is no requirement to go onto metered charging.  There are only 2 of us in our house but using Severn Trent's own calculator, we would only save £30 per year by going on meter.  We are currently not excessive users.  No dishwasher for example, and only a couple of loads of washing per week.  I hate to think how much the family of 6, with 2 young children, who live next door to us would pay if they were metered.

But when you move and someone else lives there they’ll automatically be put onto a metered supply.
