I know it’s hard folks, especially when you’re being personally targeted … but please try not to bite back … it’s just giving them the reaction they want … it’s attention-seeking behaviour so don’t reward them. Sit on your hands, grit your teeth and order seeds ((hugs)) xx

Good afternoon,Ā  a nice bright day here too.Ā  We haven't been able to make as much of it as we would like,Ā  as IĀ  reported on the curmudgeon thread the other day we both have heavy colds AGAIN.Ā Ā
We were up a bit late last night as GD N,Ā  one of the twins, was on her way to USA,Ā  we were following the trip on a flight tracker,Ā  and happy to know when she had met up withĀ  cousin at LAX.Ā  I think I said before it's quite a big step for her,Ā  travelling on her own,Ā  but we know it's needed as she has to learn to speak up for herself, something she is still reluctant to do.Ā  She had assistance airside at Heathrow,Ā  to ensure she got to the gate without a problem,Ā  as this is the first time she has travelled solo.Ā

    Afternoon all,

Glad to hear your GD got to US safely. I'm not surprised you were a bit anxious.

I've also got a cold coming, caught it from OH, much to my dismay. However the sun was shining and it was a little bit warmer so I handwashed one of the old curtains I've just been given, as an experiment and have managed to get it dryish on the line. One down and three to go - and they're bigger ones.

Then OH very kindly drove me to the nearest GC to pick up some horse manure bags because I want to plant the last of my new roses soon. Thought the ground could settle for a few days if I was going to be poorly and unable to garden. That's all I could manage so have retreated to the sofa with the new RHS mag which arrived this morning.

    Evening folks.Ā

I had noticed a small increase in the light both this morning and this evening, which made me feel like Spring is creeping closer.Ā

I woke to bad foot pain today - I really hope it’s not plantar fasciitis! 😫 I had that in my other foot in 2020, in fact many of my nursing colleagues experienced it after that couple of intense months wearing those rubber shoes that we had to wear (so we could soak them in bleach after being in the COVID ITU).Ā

Take it easy everyone - hope all the colds start disappearing soon.Ā
My garden and I live in South Wales.Ā

@AuntyRach 😢 ouch  … been there … have you got one of those roller things for rolling your foot on? I found it really helpful.Ā

Hello everyone. Sorry I’ve not been on, but best wishes to everyone and Happy Birthday Dove.

Can you believe that the weather man is predicting snow on Friday. It’s the end of January for goodness sake! Ā  Ā What’s going on?Ā

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
very good to see you @Pat E  …. I was thinking of sending out a search party šŸ˜‰  … as for your weather, Ma always said that if it didn’t snow at Christmas it would snow around my birthday … she didn’t specifyĀ where tho šŸ˜ ā›„ļøĀ
6C with blue sky and some pinky-grey fluffies here this morning … not sure for how long tho … I’ll check with the app ….
Hmm it says it’ll stay pretty much like this all day. I actually got a line of washing dry outside yesterday … first time I’d even bothered to hang it out since … must’ve been October …

Morning folks. I managed to get washing out yesterday and the day before sunny and windy. Left hubby to switch on the machine,we were doing the hour electric savings when I left home. Took my youngest son I am carer for to a different dentist for a second opinion. Dentist is someone who trained a dental nurse friend of mine, luckily not too far from my son's. It was a positive result, thankfully. The practice is private, I paid for this session,he started getting severe toothache last April!! That's way too long. Talking of electricity.... readings are on the smart meters, online, inspite of getting e mail from Octopus saying how much I am saving in these little sessions,I am still not receiving monthly bills or export.
