  Yes I agree just to say it is poisonous just so you are aware.

  I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

  Stumped on this one, my Monkshood. is different, the leaves are whole but divided and the stems are straight.

  some Aconitums have more divided leaves but I'm not convinced this is one

  Thank you for your suggestions. I don’t think it’s an Aconitum because it should be flowering now. I uprooted a Hebe because it overpowered it and I thought how lovely the leaf was.
  Here’s another photo but I font know if it’s any more helpful. It’s about 1 metre tall on erect stems

  This is my late flowering Aconitum, it’s almost over now as you see by the seed pods.
  I would agree that the OP is not one.

  The leaves are described as 'deeply divided' ... I can't find a photo but I'm pretty sure I've seen it at The Old Vicarage at East Ruston.   I've certainly seen it somewhere ...
