As we have photographic evidence of the abundance of berries, we can show that the "cold winter coming" theory is baloney. The chances of a snowy winter in London seems very slim. But .. let's see.

Thank you I thought it was. It's lovely, does it usually turn yellow in autumn?

Ahem, coff, just called in at my local garden centre, just a tiny one for some horticultural gravel for pot dressing and just happened to ask if they could get me a cercidiphylum japonicum and she said oh I think we have 2 in stock. Never imagined in my wildest dreams they would have one let alone two. Well, it was fate, so I bought one. Actually I blame Woodgreen for showing us hers.  B)

Lovely to see your purchase @Uff.
Bear in mind it may be frost prone in spring as the leaves emerge. We often fleeced ours over a tripod of long canes, but as it grew it seemed to get above the worst of the frost ( in a bit of a hollow here.) New leaves always appeared after any frost damage.
I hope you get many years of pleasure watching it grow and mature to give a stunning autumn display.

Coincidentally I grow cyclamen hederifolium around the base but in spring there are scilla siberica which I read you had purchased bulbs of. I did put white wood anemones too but the scillas took over somewhat.
This year they flowered the best I've ever seen, finally giving me the blue carpet envisaged many years ago. They have increased but don't seem to pop up in nearby grass, even beyond the mown grass in a bulb meadow, though seed would be washed that way by autumn/winter flooding. So I suppose the seed has to be fresh.
