I’m sure a Guillot order including Versigny will be on the cards next year, Marlorena, assuming I hold my nerve and don’t order before then!

I don't think you'll be waiting that long Nollie.... something tells me..

Yes that's a super bridge in VS's garden, and home made too.. such skills I've never had..

Well, my new Burncoose order which I placed just Saturday is already despatched.. the kind of service I like..

Anyone intending to buy a new Austin at the end of the month?..

@Marlorena If it is a red or apricot DA release, I might get it.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

I don't think so, but never say never. I like the literary names. 2023 will mark a hundred years since the introduction of Lord Peter Wimsey, as well as a century since Katherine Mansfield's death. If Charlotte and/or Anne Brontë were honoured with a rose, too, I couldn't pass them up.

Hopefully not too morbid a question, but given how many years their breeding programme takes from initial seedlings to release, are we still then likely to be getting releases that were initially selected/considered/overseen by the original David Austin? If so, for how long might that continue? Just idly wondering.

A lord Peter Wimsey rose would be wonderful, esp if not pink.

Ok, if it is not a flat yellow or pink, and I cant think of anything else to get for my birthday in March, I will get it.

@WAMS, yes may be couple of more years. May be after that we might not be seeing many fragrant varieties from DA.
