I have long legs. It's not a blessing. I hate shopping - everything is 'cropped' whether I want it to be or not and dresses look completely ridiculous. I have a drawer full of wrist warmers because with long legs come long arms (all legs and wings as my aunt used to say) and sleeves are never long enough either. I generally look like a badly stuffed scarecrow. Be happy to be 'normal' proportions - it makes clothes much more fun.

  • Evening all,

Everyone seems to have had a good weekend, me included, despite poor Charlie being more or less a permanent ice cream licking fixture on the sofa. 🙄😅

I'm quite pleased with my hair, but not quite dark enough for my liking, the cut is good though and I suppose I can get another layer of colour put in later. When Charlie is a bit more mobile I'll get him to take a photo, although I'm sending him back to school on Tuesday. He's actually not suffered too much, just very swollen and reluctant to eat. Doesn't want to move in case he undoes the stitches.

I on the other hand enjoyed a lovely lunch with some friends yesterday at a new restaurant, a Dutch place, in the old gaol, a little bit hippie like, but very friendly and good home made food. Also managed a bit of gardening, but got extremely badly bitten several times over, had to take antihistamines and use lots of cream, turned into nasty bruises now, so not the normal midgies. Tried to go looking at houses, but very annoyingly the estate agent with two places I like were inexplicably closed. 🙄 I'll try again Tuesday, they don't open Mondays. 🙄🙄

I'd love longer legs, but not too long @raisingirl, just so I could reach the top of kitchen cupboards. 😅

Managed to finally finish watching a film with Charlie, it's taken us two evenings, The Hunger Games, interesting concept... But we're both exhausted now so it's good night from us both. Thanks for all your kind messages to him.

Must watch the Balmoral ting on catch up. I have spent a lot of time round there, Moiras Mum and Dad lived in Ballater.
We were there a few weeks ago, although Moiras Mum is now in a home in Banchory.
It ia a stunning part of the world.

  • The programme spent quite a bit of time in Ballater @punkdoc, especially at the butchers 👍

We decided not to watch AR … after so long it feels jaded, whatever they do to try to perk it up. We channel surfed and found some back to back  ‘Allo ‘Allos … guilty pleasures. I remember our struggles trying to explain to our new Russian DIL why we could laugh at the Nazis … she never did get it … perhaps understandably.

We’ve recorded Frozen Planet and I’m in bed now. I think my poorly tum may be improving at last. A relatively normal day, just a few sore twinges … still eating very carefully but feeling decidedly on the mend 👍

night night all … sleep tight 😴

Morning all.  Hubby is still on very light duties, so not doing much. Mildish morning, but showers expected later.

I was just waking up when you last posted @Pat E, quite normal nightly happening for me and I usually trundle back to sleep for a couple of hours around 5am. But have also been known to stay asleep until 9am, however this morning the local sweep is coming at around 8am to clean out the rayburn ready for its winter work so do I take a chance and go back to sleep now or stay awake and catch a nap this afternoon? Decisions, decisions!
Good morning to any early risers, have a good Monday folks.

Ha ha. Anna B. Have you caught up with your sleep?
We’ve just watched a whole episode of the bike race. We are still a couple of days behind, but only have a look when there’s nothing else we want to see. 🙄

Looks like the rain is coming up from the south.

    Lucky we are staying in.
