  • My legs are long enough ... but they're overly sturdy.

My voice was good ... but note the past tense ... I probably don't use it often enough ... I used to be in two choirs ... lots of rehearsals, at least one service on a Sunday and then weddings and concerts.  The muscles have got slack ... 🙄

    Afternoon all.

Been bramble bashing, pruning and mowing in MIL’s garden and she cooked us a roast dinner. Three apple trees in her garden: Bramley, orange pippin and James Grieve, so a bag full of those have come home with me.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

New Attenborough on tonight: Frozen Planet II, BBC 1 at 8pm.

Is it on?or has it been cancelled for more of " the queen is still dead " stuff?

I wish I had longer legs and a flatter tummy @didyw. I'm not that good at singing but it doesn't bother me.

I've been gardening, planted the last 18 violas, in flower beds. I only have herbs and a few shade loving plants in pots here because of watering when we aren't here. NDN waters them. I moved a self seeded Brunnera and re-potted the mint. The mint was in a good sized pot but was root bound. It was quite a job dividing it. It's now in a bigger pot and I've put SM parsley in the old pot. I usually do parsley in the spring, not sure if it will work.

Countryfile from Balmoral is on tonight, which appeals to us. We watch TV on iPlayer and ITV Hub.

I've not switched the tv on since she died. Not much point, nor variety

I've watched TV more than usual since she died. Each to his own. Vive la difference!

The new listings for bbc are posted on the bbc website. Not even the inbuilt ‘guide’ buttons on the tv are correct at the moment.  I think more ‘normal tv’ is creeping in from this evening. I really enjoyed tonight’s Countryfile which showcased Balmoral.

  • Yes I thought enjoyed Countryfile too @AuntyRach … gorgeous countryside, interesting and informative … loved the Highland cattle, and wonderful memories of our visit to the Hebrides some years ago … hit just the right note … and oh, those Highland ponies ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I enjoyed Countryfile but am bored with the Antiques Roadshow - seen it all before.  (Hence being here)

Frozen Planet 2 - looking forward to that.
