  • That sounds like a lovely afternoon @Busy-Lizzie … glad the weather was good enough to be outside.

    Good morning all.
I hope I'm not tempting fate when I say I've slept for 8 solid hours on 3 consecutive nights.
    Devon.
  • That sounds marvellous @Hostafan1 … I’m so glad … and with those reserves in the bank you’ll be able to cope should you have the occasional restless night/early morning … so you can relax 😊

I’m rather pleased to have managed to get all three loads of washing both out in the sunshine and back in before sunset. 👏👏.  That should do us for another week I hope.   Worn out now though. 🙄

  • Gosh, well done @Pat E 👍👍👍

Ahhh, Tony Blackburn's playing Acker Bilk's Stranger on the Shore ... Pa loved that ... I suspect everyone's Pa did 🎵

Acker Bilk @Dovefromabove  that's going back a bit!!!  I sowed some kale seeds too, some time ago - they are up, but all bunched together as are my turnips - I sow directly into the ground.  I will thin them out, but they are spindly.  My parsnips have surfaced or it might be nettles!!
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

  • To be fair @tui34 ... Tony Blackburn goes back a bit too  ;)

  • I must be "going back a bit as well then".! Went to bed early,9.30, I knew it was a bad idea,up at 1.30, almost posted on "are you awake". I should have been tired we walked from Sovereign Harbour Eastbourne to Pevensey. 2.5 hours, did stop on a log for about 10 minutes right next to the Martello tower, watching the boats, calm sea, seals in the harbour on the way back. Folk on another forum talking about winter clothes. It was 25c in the garden,34c in the conservatory. No sea breeze, boy was I "glowing"....(only horses sweat!)

Ackerman Bilk !  Gosh that brings back memories, Dove. I wonder why his music isn’t played nowadays, it was always good. 😁
