There is really good stuff out there, but you do have to sift through a lot of junk.
How can you lie there and think of England

I generally prefer books to videos. I think it's just how my brain processes information. Easier to focus on written material, somehow. I do like John Lord on youTube though - he's a bit manic, no hanging around there! https://www.youtube.com/@johnlordssecretgarden776/videos
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Phew I thought I whipped through my garden a bit smartish @JennyJ but he beats me. Knows his stuff.

I love Tony C Smith on youtube,
I used to watch colliery garden but sadly she doesn’t post anymore. (Can you tell I’m a sucker for a geordie)

I love a good garden/allotment blog but they’re so hard to find, I started my own but it’s hard to stay motivated/figure out how to actually make it so people can find it!!

The People Place and Nature Podcast: This is a wonderful resource. It offers some really in depth conversations with leading lights. There are lots of videos but some of the longer ones:

Charles Dowding for no-dig ideas. He’s changed my gardening practices and helped my back enormously. He has loads of videos on YouTube, almost all about veg, but the practices apply to flower gardens as well.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • If you'll allow it, I'd like to share my own channel - Great Northern Exotic Garden (https://www.youtube.com/@greatnorthernexotic/). The focus is on growing tropicals, exotics and cacti outdoors in the UK, for anyone interested in this kind of gardening. I do a mix of videos focusing on my own garden (monthly walkthroughs, some videos focusing on particular plants) as well as videos visiting specialist botanic gardens and nurseries, again with a focus on tropical plants and cacti.

Here's my lastest walkthrough video for July:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uuZszCTCMI

And beyond that, here are some other channels I enjoy watching:

Cactus Quest - a channel run by Hunter (US-based) with a focus on cacti and succulents both in habitat and cultivation. Love his enthusiasm, plus great production values. https://www.youtube.com/@CactusQuest

Yorkshire Kris - the OG UK tropical garden channel. Kris has been posting videos for over a decade. A wealth of advice for anyone interested in this style of gardening. https://www.youtube.com/@YorkshireKRIS

George's Jungle Garden - another great  channel with a wealth of information and advice for those wanting a tropical look garden. Plus: cute dogs! https://www.youtube.com/@GeorgesJungleGarden

East Coast CamanchacaManuel's channel is another US-based channel with a focus on cacti and succulents. Some incredible footage of rare cacti in habitat, plus a strong anti-poaching, conservation slant. https://www.youtube.com/@RareCactus

Mark's Garden UK - name a style of gardening and Mark has it covered on his UK based channel. So much good advice delivered in chilled, calm way. I really enjoy Mark's garden. https://www.youtube.com/@MarksGardenUK

I also enjoy Tony C Smith @zugenie.  I also follow epic gardening which has been mentioned.  Greenside Up is another great resource, but the Presenter Steve recently  passed away - he was the first you tuber that I followed and got so many great tips from him.

Ivans gardening allotment is another one I follow he is doing a series of videos on container gardening which appeals to me due to space and compost costs.  He recently did a video where he harvested around 30 decent sized carrots from a small trough container.  There are so many great channels, you tube is all I watch these days.  All I watch are gardening channels and true crime, I hardly watch TV.
