Lovely find of the parrot waxcaps :) The other pile might be glistening inkcaps, Coprinellus micaceus.

Thanks @steephill, they may be on roots of former Lilac or Hawthorn.

This is an earlier pic with some others in there as well

    In the sticks near Peterborough

I love seeing all the fungi at this time of year. I haven't a clue what they all are, but I thoroughly enjoy seeing them - and people's photos. There's a house quite near me which has all sorts throughout the lawn. I should have taken a pic last month when they were fresh, but they're all finished now.

I did get these last week on one of the nearby verges. They were already going over, but still looked not too bad.  :)

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Splendid!!😎
  • Found this growing on a tree stump in our locality today. From above, they looked like half buns, dusted with icing sugar.
From another angle, a pair of ears attached to the stump.

    Could be Cinnamon Bracket.

    Lovely @scroggin :)
@rowlandscastle444's from the other day do look rather 'bun' like  :)

I took a pic of these recently but the photo's disappeared, so I took another one today

Fingers coming out of the earth, weird bellybuttons. I am sure they have proper names. @steephill

Those are certainly unusual @coccinella. I love seeing all the different types.
I saw a huge 'thing' on a verge in October, and thought it was a small football. I crossed the road to see, and it was an enormous mushroom of some kind. It was easily around 8 or 9 inches diameter. Forgot to go back and get a pic though. Must look out for it next year.  :)
