We have rain!! Several hours of steady rain so far. Nothing too dramatic just the perfect sort of rain and at night too so it will really soak into the ground. So pleased! Lovely day with Maisie and George.. Maisie’s latest.. Nanny let me give you a tip, some advice, Boys are silly!

Had a walk round the garden late afternoon, the sun had come out again and it smelt so fresh. Plants and shrubs looked happier too.

It is still raining! I don’t think it stopped at all last night a lovely steady downpour exactly what was needed. I did ask Maisie to do a rain dance yesterday afternoon so I have her to thank.
House inspection this morning then work.
Fiancé is very tired and rather grumpy. Tomorrow is his daughters wedding it’s 2nd time around so not a big do. I am not even getting myself a new outfit. I hope the next couple of days give him chance to rest. He really needs it.

A very good morning Chive, Debs and all joining us later. Wow Debs, if anyone could wipe away the gloom, it will be that little treasure, Maisie. She is totally correct in her assumption at the moment though. I remember my now grown up nieces saying similar things too - if fact one of them had a tee shirt that said 'Boys are silly. Throw stones at them.' I do not encourage nor condone those actions though! Needless to say as she got older her views took on a very different slant. I think you hinted that your fiancé would be tired after the Bristol jaunt. Hope he rests more today.

I was saddened to hear that this next season of Uni Chall will be Jeremy Paxman's final as quiz meister though I do realise his reasons for retiring. I have loved this long running show which has been a part of my life since the late sixties when Bamber Gascoigne was the presenter. I am wondering who will take up the reins - the new presenter is being named next week I believe.
