Are you still none the wiser as to whom you HAVE  chatted to about him?
Nope … it must’ve been you … but in a parallel universe?
Either that or you have a doppelgänger 🤭

Hi folks. didn't do much this morning apart from reading the Saturday papers  and pottering but after lunch we got going and decided to trim the front hedge which has gone bananas and overhanging our narrow lane. It was cloudy and overcast when we started but half way through the sun burst out and it got jolly hot. I had to abandon trying to strim the verge as my small strimmer couldn't cope with some suckering shrub with red stems and heart shaped leaves - don't know what it's called but a really strong cookie!

Quite a fierce wind since 4 ish and dark clouds are scudding across.

My granddaughter was 11 today and apparently we gave her some inline skate blades. I say apparently because I had to ask her what we gave her! My son and I have the perfect arrangement, I just send the gift money to him, he buys what he knows the children would like (and wraps it!) but he forgot this time to tell me what it was.

Our kettle is on the blink, keeps trying to boil but not succeeding so I've just ordered another one which I can pick up tomorrow. I've also ordered a pair of slippers each at sale prices although we don't really need new ones yet and a free standing metal house number post which comes with an integral spike which I hope will be easy to install. We do have a house number on one side but it's slightly obscured by NDN's conifer and people miss it.   It's very easy to get carried away online when you are browsing!

Your jewellry looks good @didyw, glad the day went well.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️

    That’s really sad @chicky  😞

I woke much earlier …. and noodled on here for a bit, then went back to sleep … now I’ve had a coffee but I still feel tired … 🥱

They appear to have the fire under control now - and have had to ask that people stop sending cake 🍰😉.

Got a bit of planting to do first thing, and then need to tidy myself up ready for some mane taming 🦁.  My hairdresser of 25 years has now moved her salon from the high street to her converted garage, so I don’t even need to go into town now.

Morning all. Well we have had some 24 hours of rain (thankfully), some heavy but mostly just steady and continuous, so the ground has had a really good soak and everything 'smells' so very clean and fresh. Think I will go and do some weed pulling today but first must pop out and feed the birds as yesterday's rain made life a bit difficult for them.
