Morning all, a bit on the tired side as I stayed at Firstborn's overnight and I never sleep well their as the bed is a bit hard for me. Got the girls off to school safely, fed the cats and tidied up before driving home for breakfast and a cuppa. We've borrowed the small hedge trimmer to get the ivy hedge cut in the front garden, have some box and a pittosporum that need a hair cut too. Congratulations to Charlie and fingers crossed for CdeG Enjoy Hampton Court @Chicky I much prefer it to Chelsea too. Sorry if I've forgotten anyone but my brain's still in sleep mode.
Caught up on a lot of Glastonbury last night. Not to everyones taste I know, but I thought there were some great acts. I really hope I am able to go back one day, if my health and the Nations health allow.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
So glad things are going so well for you @D0rdogne_Damsel - it's not luck though - it's hard work! Congrats to Charlie too.  That sounds very thorough @Lizzie27. Let's hope it works. My late FIL had a hip replaced privately. It got infected and he was in the NHS hospital then for a few months where he continued to get infections, including pneumonia. I don't recall his having to take such stringent precautions pre-op, maybe it would have been better if he had. Nice to see you @AnnaB. Despite the fact that we used to live not too far from Hampton Court, we never went to that show @chicky and @Allotment Boy but I believe it has come on in leaps and bounds in the past 20 years so I do envy you. I did go to Chelsea a couple of times though, when they still had the old marquee. As a member of the RHS at the time we went on members day so not too crowded. Firstborn is lucky to have a mum like you @Yviestevie! Bit of paperwork/emails to sort then it's out into the garden with me.
Sorry @D0rdogne_Damsel, forgot to congratulate Charlie, well deserved I'm sure. @didyw, it's often the way when something is on your doorstep you don't do it. I went to one of the first ones to be held, it was so cold and damp I had to buy a sweatshirt from the RHS stand, to put under my very thin waterproof. There was hardly anyone there, loads of space. It does get quite crowded now but not as bad as Chelsea . Like the Malvern show, you can buy plants from most stands, all week., if you are so inclined.Â
Just in from the garden - popped by here before going for a shower.
I do wish I had more energy and could get more things done. I have done a lot of work on one bed and would have liked to have given it a good water and mulch with composted bark and then watered and fed all the pots. But have run out of steam.
hiya all. I know the feeling @didyw. I've had to have a day off today. I went back to bed after visiting Hubby and slept for almost 3 hours. Saw my Stunningly Gorgeous dentist and no work needing done. I might venture out to feed the AgapanthusÂ
