I thought the same that if it only costs in the region of £20 or thereabouts if it lasted a year you would have had your money's worth. @Fire. Must admit it's hard work with a regular hose and more often than not it gets caught on something or gets twisted around a plant. I will have a look at the link. @Fire. I honestly wouldn't have a clue about the water pressure. It certainly isn't weak but what I would have always considered the norm. Never had to compare it with anywhere else. If I finally make a decision to buy one on my head be it. When I compare the cost with what I spend on feeding the birds it's neither here nor there. Many thanks.
@KeenOnGreen it's interesting to hear that you could repair a damaged expandable hose. One of the big complaints with the early ones was that they couldn't be repaired even when it was the connector that was damaged. Good to hear that issue has been addressed at least by some manufacturers.
