Yes, we buy in store, but they may sell them online.

My OH bought one like this to use in his mother's garden, it was a show offer the last time we went to GW Live which was 2018 if memory serves me right.

It doesn't get used every day, but it's still going strong. It does seem to depend on luck reading the previous posts  :)

I need one too, seeing as I used most of mine for drainage for the water butt. 🤣
I also saw very mixed reviews.
I worked for Hozelock once, awful working conditions, so I'm reluctant to buy from them.

I am very pleased with my Hozelock.  I had a cheaper one (can't remember the brand) and it failed after two seasons.  The hozelock is much stronger and I curl it roughly into a planter - out of sight when not in used.  Drained and stored in a shed overwinter.

We had one from Lidl which lasted some years. Not sure where we got the current one. Maybe Lidl again, if so it was bought before lockdown and still going. We find it brilliant. It’s long enough to stretch across our big garden, but really easy to put away as it shrinks down when the water is switched off. Easy and light to put away in the garage after use. Would never go back to the old rigid hoses. Bulky to store, hard work to roll up. If we left it on the ground, the mice ate holes in it!

Thank you folks for your input on how you like yours. I am once again tempted and I am not very good at making decisions. (As you may have guessed!) I think it may be a case of buy one, love it or regret it. I will need one which will expand to quite some length but I don't know the easiest method of measuring the distance from the bottom of my allotment to the top. The current rigid one doesn't reach so that most plants at the top get very little water as  even the rain makes no difference with the trees above sheltering the area. I think the pros are beginning to outweigh the cons.  :)

I find them fine for general watering, don’t use anything that restricts the water flow as this puts more internal pressure, which can in turn increase the likelihood of a “blowout “. We stupidly used our first on with the power washer and the result was a disaster, and very loud “bang”, subsequent one has worked fine for all the general watering.
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.

I love mine but to be fair they only last 12-18 months. Mine was £20 so I reckon it’s worth the money. Light and easy to use. Folds up really small, I hate hoses lying around and I hate rolling up hoses so it’s a win win for me.
