Rose ID

Hi,

anyone on here about to identify the rose attached? If not, does anyone know of a specialists rose ID forum that could? 

Extra details:

Rose is about 5 foot high by about 4-5 in terms of spread

Has very thick thorny main stems maybe 2 inches + in thickness 

lots of blossoms - currently maybe 80 flowering buds and about 30 or so green/unopened buds 

not sure if she as was here when we moved in.

    Some extra details:

    petal count 60-70
    scent - little/none

    give it time, there are some real Rose experts on here. If anyone can identify it, one of them will be able to.

    I am no expert but wondered if it is R Buff Beauty.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    Thanks. I think you may be right looking at the pics and description on David Austin. Also, quite a few of the other roses that were here when we moved in have a David Austin tag on it. There were about 10 roses and 8 had David Austin tags on and this one plus one other didn’t. The main thing about it is that it is huge and it does say on their website ‘very large shrub rose’. Thanks again.

    ..I can't stretch my neck to see that, but could you upload a photo of the thorns on this rose please?  all the way down a stem.. thanks..

    I think your rose is 'Penny Lane'.. it's a modern shrubby climber, with a tall narrow habit..  the thorns you've shown confirm that for me..  bred by Harkness Roses and used to be sold by David Austin, I think it still is.. 

    It looks like your rose wants to climb ..

    Thankyou @Malorena Iv'e learnt something new how to ID a rose by it's thorns. Still pleased I had a go wasn't sure as I said. It is important to get it right.
