Hi Ante, are your friends from Austria still with you? I bet you had a nice time catching up on all of the gossip. I watched the Jubilee Trooping of the Colour. Wonderful! The best bit for me was the flypast over the Palace though. Love to see all the aircraft. I also managed to do some weeding in the garden and got Lily's TV on the go.
T'Bird, You are right. The window failing just as you are planning your exciting trip couldn't have happened at a worse time. Fingers crossed you get it sorted out and all the paperwork is finished too.
Speaking of paperwork, I hope Biglad hasn't become submerged in it and is getting ever closer to getting out into his garden before his RAAF duties start again.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Evening everyone, @Ladybird4 a friend sent me that one on WhatsApp 🤣 We watched Trooping of the colour too. Wasn't it lovely. Loved the flypast, especially the 70 formation and Red Arrows.Â
LB, friends are still here. They brought me some seeds and beautiful pink peony. Yesterday we were gathering sage flowers and made syrup of them. I'm glad that you enjoyed watching Jubilee parade.
SGL, we had a live air of Trooping, so I saw everything.
I have pizza for dinner. Cup of tea will be perfect after that. It's again hot and humid.
If we hadn't been out we would have seen the Red Arrows, they usually fly over our cottage on the way to London. We saw a bit of the Trooping of the Colour on TV when we got home.
We've had a lovely day out and it stayed warm and sunny. We went to Woodbridge in Suffolk, bit over an hour's drive away through pretty countryside and villages. We found a parking place in the town centre and unloaded OH's buggy then went down the main pedestrian street and had lunch in a pub at the bottom, in the courtyard area outside. I found exactly the knives and forks that OH had been looking for for some time, smaller one for first courses to match our main course set, not expensive either. It was a lovely kitchen shop. Then OH bought me a summer dress in Seasalt. We went to the harbour area by the river Deben and visited the museum. On the way home we drove through a very pretty village, Woolpit, with pretty Elizabethan beamy cottages with overhanging first floors, and pink thatched cottages.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
OH was busy cutting back on the footpath this morning. His efforts didn't go unnoticed - I heard 3 groups of walkers commenting this pm on how well maintained this particular footpath is. Different story a couple of days ago when I could hear everyone moaning about the giant stinging nettles, brambles etc etc.
Enjoyed what I saw of the royal celebrations on TV. Prince Louis looked to be a lovely bubbly handful but his big sister was keeping him in order! Lovely to see and HM looked very happy.
Fireworks in a neighbouring village tonight so I'll enjoy watching those.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
@Busy-Lizzie - just seen your post. Woolpit is the next village & less than 2 miles from us. If I'd known you were there I'd  have invited you over for a cuppa!
