    Afternoon all,

Finished work at 2am and set my alarm for 7 to do another 5 hours this morning. Not sustainable over a period of time but needs must. Hopefully, doing all that means that I've only got about 30mins of stuff to do before starting again on Monday :o Eleven weeks down and who knows how many left...

It looks decent gardening weather and my knee has improved enough to get out there and make sure it's agony again tonight :D I'm still not driving but OH has promised to go and pick up enough S-hooks for me to get the other 2 planters hung on the fence.

I also need to reduce the 80-strong pot mountain ;) and get some stuff in the ground.

  • Chive thank you, I give Alfie a gentle massage to ease it.  Hazel have a restful weekend there’s time next week for gardening, weather permitting.  Big lad remember to rest when you can.  Busy enjoy your concert this evening.  I’ve been sorting through cds as mum and dad gave me their hi-fi.  Some folk, classic and contemporary.  LB hope you and bestie are enjoying yourselves.  Lily hope you’ve had a good day.

No - I didn't watch it @Songbird-1. I'll be factoring in some serious sport watching tomorrow though!

My blueberries have been looking so well that I've left them alone so far this year. Gave them their first feed this afternoon. Gave the citrus triplets a swig of the good stuff as well. Need to set a reminder on my phone to make it a regular occurrence ;)

What would blackcurrants fancy - tomato feed?

Good afternoon all. I hope that you have all had good/productive times today. I have had a quiet day as I have felt tired after two nights of rubbish sleep. Interestingly, whilst chatting over the fence with my neighbour, I learned that we have got 4 days of jollity to look forward to over the Jubilee weekend. Pity the council didn't think to put leaflets through our doors advising us of this, especially as they intend to close the lane on one day for the parade. I shall enjoy watching the parade but will need to check the day it is on as it could be on the Thursday - Bestie Day. The parade is ending at the Equestrian Centre near me. My neighbour had got all this information from a friend of hers so I was glad she had passed it on. I haven't looked online yet as there may be something there telling us all about it.
Busy, I guess these are the jeans you were telling us about the other day, I hope you manage to get some black thread sorted.
Biglad, my brain would be in sleep mode at that time in the morning. I hope that you haven't wrecked your knee overdoing stuff in the garden. I hope Ante hasn't wrecked his back at the cottage.
RosieBB, I have hundreds of CD's yet nothing to play them on now. I could use one of my old laptops and up load them all and then transfer them to my phone - when I have the time - but I think I might just sell them all.
Hazel, my variegated Weigela Florida is full of flowers now but Weigela Bristol Ruby is still just in bud. Looking forward to seeing them all open. Grace is on tomorrow night, was it you who told me that there were only 4 episodes in this series? If so, this is the last one.

I did some digging up of ground elder from next door, came in under the fence, but couldn't remove all of it as it goes under my montbretias. I wish next door would do some weeding. I sprayed the bindweed that is escaping over her fence onto our car port. I dug up the forget-me-nots that were over. We went to the GC and I bought some nemesia to put their place. Bought some Busy Lizzies for the shade bed and some red nicotiana.

Must go, need to allow time for OH to walk from the car park to the church where the concert is, classical, orchestra and choir. Schubert 3, Canticles de Jean Racine, & something else.

Evening everyone, a surprisingly pleasant jaunt to the shops but came back empty handed never mind,
LB Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling a bit jaded today from the lack of sleep, I hope the forthcoming jubilee celebrations don’t mess with your visit to bestie, Goodnight,
Bluebells How lovely to have a hi-fi to play your CD’s on, quite often we spend the evening listening to music very relaxing, you must always be on the alert for Alfie ready to help him,
BigLad Glad your knee is improving, hope it’s not too long before you’re  back behind the wheel, though must be nice not to have some of the errand runs 🙂
Hazel Glad you are feeling a bit more rested after a slower start today. The Montana sounds like it’s gaining good ground growing back, hope the other clematis gets going soon too.
Busy A busy day for you, hope you both have a lovely evening enjoy the concert,
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Just popping in before going to bed.

We did enjoy the concert, thanks @Songbird-1. There was quite a bit more than I said before, Elgar's Nursery Suite, Ave Verum, Songs from the 1930s, The Dambusters. There were several people we knew there and excellent refreshments included. If we'd known about the refreshments we wouldn't have eaten so much dinner!

    Goodnight all.
