    I'm a micro moth-er at the moment. So far tonight we have this snazzy gold number:
    and this distinctively marked tortrix species.

    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Yes it's boring looking, but this  was  caught in my garden last Friday night, and the first record of it in Derbyshire.

    Thank you for providing a good photo. This is the first record of this species received by the Gelechiid Recording Scheme for VC57.
    Accepted as correct

    That's pretty cool. Did you identify it or did they? None of my micromoths get verified over on iNaturalist, unless they're very distinctive varieties.

    The lady who did the moth trap for me identified it together with someone local, and then she uploaded it. They wouldn't accept it at first and asked for a photo. She sent the photo and they accepted the identification.  :)
