    @turmeric @Silver surfer from what I can tell, Sambucus 'Sutherland Gold' does have different leaves to Sambucus 'Golden Towers' as it's a different species (Sambucus racemosa rather than Sambucus nigra). I still think it's Sambucus nigra although happy to be proved wrong! :)

    Sorry for all the confusion, i just looked back and it's golden towers I have as well, I thought it was sutherland gold for some reason but I wrote down golden towers in my book. I think sutherlands gold was the one I wanted for the red berries.
  • I think Sambuca Nigra is the family name for elderflower (probably refers to the berries) .... Sambuca Nigra BLACK LACE is the lovely black one with pale pink flowers. Sambuca Nigra GOLDEN TOWERS is the one with lime green leaves ... I have both in my garden. 
    No-one knows if you have done your house-work, but everyone knows is you haven't done your gardening
