If only it were gloopy and rich. The buttermilk of yesteryear was the stuff left over from butter making. It was, as I recall, thin, slightly cloudy, rather sour and totally disgusting. Fit only for pigs to drink. Oink!
    Oh! Even better 🤮

Buttermilk is thin and watery - all the fat removed.

My grandad had cows so I suspect it must've been the leftovers from butter making.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

The problem is: people who believe all this weight loss nonsense, are probably the same people who believe Bojo is a good PM.
How can you lie there and think of England

I had no idea. It just sounds thick and gloopy.

The GreenMan,I must be even more unusual, then I don't drink orange juice or espresso. I have some tonic water in the fridge now, for occasionally drinking, can't stand pepsi, coke, squash. (Might admit to an occasional dry whate whine or same in zhider. Had a pint at the garden fayre, well,it was hot!

I may be unusual but I only drink water, espresso, tea and orange juice.

My list is only a bit longer - water, tea (no milk), grapefruit juice, wine, beer (and I'm fairly picky about the beer).

Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Think l'll stick to Yorkshire tea and elderflower cordial. Not at the same time obviously.
