I too watched the GW section with the rose lady after reading about that here. Her love for roses was shining through that segment.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

Thnks @Nollie, I will move LL in October or November then. The place seems small, it really is not because those floor tiles are only laid over the earth ground so the roots have load of space to grow (MAC and Belle Vichyssoise are there too, just a bare meter on the left, but they get a lot more sun).
I think the problem is that she doesn’t get enough sun and I’ll need to put something more suitable there, maybe a perennial at this point.

For a Manchester rose, would the Leander rose work, since he is one of the subjects of The Last Watch of Hero held at Manchester Art Gallery?

I'll have to have a look.  Interesting portrait.
I did consider Dunham Massey but decided it's too close to Cheshire being right on the border x

David Austin seem to only sell Leander in America if I'm looking at the right one!

I watched the GW segment four or five times and paused a lot to inspect the roses. I liked too that it was a relatively small plot at the back  - 8x8 metres or so - and shows what you can do. Lots of roses I’d never heard of, which nice too. 🌹

Oh boo, sorry, I keep seeing it posted on FB. Trevor White do sell it but think it's out of stock.
