I’m the opposite, @Tack, at least with roses in the ground I can give them a whole 12L can at a time then leave for a few days. I’m finding myself having to water pots daily and it’s a tricky thing to get enough water in there for their needs without it leaching out and over the bottom trays and staining the patio.
@Fire you can always go straight to the source and get Cream Abundance from Harkness, the other one may well be from them too.
@Dabolem I would wait until the dormant season before moving your Lavender Lassie. It looks to be in a small space, maybe it’s just not getting enough water deep at the roots?
Tentative signs of rose rebirth in Nollie Gardens, MW leading the pack:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Finally saw the GW rose lady (we recently ditched the telly so wait for it to appear on YouTube). She was wonderful. I liked it that she had lots of older roses and it wasn't just a "look how much money I spend at David Austin" fest.
How many Munstead Woods is that, Nollie? Looks beaut.
Been out mowing the lawn, I let it get long so the flowers / weeds grow a bit before cutting so couldn't help myself and took more rose pics, blackspot and allÂ
Desdemona is growing nicely in her second year - smells amazing.
First flowers on Mountbatten.
Also a very poorly port sunlight. This is second year too but really isn't happy. May have to pot it in the autumn and then move!
Love the flower form though.
I also bought my first Pheno Geno yesterday Hallie. I didn't realise, it was reduced in the local Blue Diamond Garden Centre. I only went in as knew they now owned Fryers Roses and thought thought I'd see if they had Cheshire Regiment in. No luck so I'll have to order direct. Once I've got this I just need to choose a Manchester related rose and then have one from everywhere Ive lived. I'm still hoping that David Austin will name a rose RHS Bridgewater, as @Marlorena thought may happen a few years ago. Â
