We had a visiting mouse, which successfully evaded all attempts to catch it. A couple of days ago we stopped seeing any evidence of it... however, when I put on the oven earlier, I realised a) the mouse was dead, and b) where the body must be...
Does anyone have any hints about removal of a corpse from behind (or above?) a built-in oven, please?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Gosh, that's going to be difficult @Liriodendron. You will need two strong men to lift and slide the oven out onto a sturdy table, before you can see what's behind. Don't forget to turn off the oven at the mains first.
If you are sure the mouse is dead, why go to all the trouble just to remove the corpse ? If there is a smell, it will soon dissipate and just a bit of fur and bones will be left. Not visible and no damage to the oven presumably ? Not quite the same as a Time Capsule I'll admit but perhaps Mice will become extinct at some point and therefore the remains may well prove to be of interest in the far distant future when we are all long gone

Neither will I!!
That's both appalling and obscene.

Now where to find a couple of strong men??
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
