The washing machine has broken again :|  Mystic Wild Edges predicts the repair cost will be approximately the same as the cost of one new trail camera.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Bite the bullet and get a new washing machine. The interesting beasties will still be in the garden when you can afford your camera.

Save the planet and your electricity bill and wash everything by hand. Buy the trail cam.  B)

That bushnell looks to be the newer version of mine, at a lot cheaper price than I paid. Go for it.

It's snowing here again. T'other half wants to know what my plans are for today.  Apart from making a few cups of coffee, and defrosting something for dinner, not a lot.

Well it looks like the repair that the engineer carried out to fix the shoddy work done by the previous engineer has now also failed. :|  At least it's something I can fix myself anyway. I'll give him the benefit out the doubt as access was tight behind the machine and he wasn't as young or as svelte as me o:)

40  years since Thatcher's war in the Falklands.
Every head of the armed services told her NOT to scrap the South Atlantic patrol vessels but she said " Argentina wouldn't dare invade" and scrapped the patrols ships.
    The rest is history

It turns out I'm not as young and as svelt as me either :#  It's a tight fit in behind that machine but it's all repaired and working again. I soldered the wires rather than just crimping them like the engineer did because that obviously doesn't stand up to the movement of the drum.
I just had a suspiciously specific email about trail cameras too. It's from a decent company that I'm on the mailing list for so maybe it's just a coincidence. Sadly the budget won't stretch to their new £215 no-glow dual-lens model. It takes video and photos at the same time though which I feature I always wanted.
