@wild edges you need to tell them that skeletons do exist and one lives inside each of them.  That should scare the **** of them.  Time to get your own back. :D

First time I saw a surgical dental extraction, looking at the partially exposed jawbone, and realising I was looking at part of a live skeleton! Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end! Luckily got over that.
I do remember a fellow pupil at school wondering if your skeleton grew. Great fun imagining what an adult would look like if their skeleton hadn’t grown since babyhood, stuff of nightmares!

A Croydon facelift might help a little.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

@Ergates look around any town these days and you will see plenty of bodies which seem to have grown much more than their skeletons.  Belly hanging down to knee level etc. :D

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • Problem is our skeletons do shrink
… consequently our bodies develop folds where there never were folds before 🫤

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I'm definitely shrinking - couldn't even see myself in the ladies loo mirror at lunchtime!

  • As I commented a few weeks back,  I've decided I had better put some wood preserver on the shed and fence.  At last we've had a couple of dry days so I made a start, and low and behold I only got the front done before the drizzle set in
But my real whinge is the colour is nothing like the pictures on the tin, fingers crossed it will tone down when it dries.

That is so annoying @Allotment Boy

I'd planned leaf clearing as it was dry and sunny yesterday but they are all soggy again due to the drizzle.

Just reading in the local paper, of staff parking problems at the North Devon Hospital. As usual, not enough spaces, and staff having to park off site, and being encouraged to adopt ‘healthier’ ways of getting to work, like walking or cycling. And can’t use the patient car parks as this might lead to patients being late for or missing appointments. Assumes the staff would be able to get there to treat them!
Used to drive me mad. I had to have a permit to park at the hospital, and paid for that privilege, despite also being required to have a car to carry out home visits during the day. Used to have to get in at silly o’clock to ensure a space.  I at least worked during normal daylight hours, when there was some public transport, but it seems so ridiculous not to accept that for some, travel by car is a necessity rather than a luxury, or a ‘lifestyle choice’.
