    I love your "withering one liners" @Hostafan1. I only wish I was able to come back so quickly. The best lines usually come to me in the middle of the night 3 days later.

    I was looking at the price of car hire for a two week holiday. I reckon it would be cheaper to buy a second hand car and give it away on departure.

    What … with full insurance including a replacement car and full AA cover? … I doubt it. It’s the little things that add up. All that is covered with car hire.

    Oh no,  B3 haven't you heard,  a shortages of microchips,  means you have a years wait for many new cars. Therefore the price of second hand cars has leapt up.

    Apparently my second hand AlfaMito is worth nearly double what I paid for it a year ago. 🚘

    Got up early for me, expecting workmen.  A text when I got up to say it's too wet,  they will get materials today and start tomorrow.  It was wet overnight but it's supposed to be dry all day.  😕

    Oh - and good luck to anyone trying to find somewhere to stay in Edinburgh at that time of year. The festival starts on the 5th.   :D
    I'm curmudgeonly about the mods not doing anything about a certain poster who thinks it's fine to call other posters retards. Delightful.  :|
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Well, it was just an idea😒 €3,000++  for a small car for  twelve days seemed a little excessive😡
