@Dovefromabove It was a lovely day here yesterday, with forecast saying no chance of rain, so we decided to walk to our local pub for a meal. On the way we spotted a very black cloud and had just got there when the heavens opened and it hammered down for about 15 minutes. It repeated the pattern a couple more times of sunny then hammering rain. Thankfully it had stopped before we were coming back home. Proof, if proof were needed, that you can't trust weather forecasts. Yesterday the forecast for today was basically showers all day. So far we've had bright blue skies all morning. That will probably change as the missus has just hung the washing out.
Somebody needs to get her off there and adopt her. After 2 years, who cares who her owner is? A bit of kindness is needed.
My curmudge?
We are experiencing strong winds and short dry spells between heavy downpours. Fine by me but when OH needs to go outside he nicks my slide on plastic clogs (name forgotten) to do so then comes back in with them still on and drops them, mud drips and all, inside whichever door. That's 4 different mucky puddles in the last couple of hours!
PS - the combination of heavy rains, strong winds and spring tides (full moon) means accesses to the coast are officially closed. Good job we weren't fancying a walk on the beach then. It's school hols so no doubt some bozo will try anyway and get into bovver and need saving.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
