Not on this one, an Allotment pal used a tape on one of the ones I had there, he said it was a very strong adhesive. Trouble is that was some time ago and his memory is going so he may not remember what kind of tape it was. I will look into it thanks.
Our large (380 l ) waterbut has sprung a leak again 🤬 I repaired it in summer, its never been completely full since due to lack of rain. Finally got rain last night now it's spurting water from base, or was. I have just spent an hour bailing it out and watering everywhere that didn't get that much last night we have filled every container we can for later in the week when it's set to get warm and dry again.
BTW @kili I will send you a pm re the laptop don't want to tie up this thread with computer talk.
Have a look at plastic welding techniques. You might need to cut a bit of donor plastic from the rim but it works on a lot of plastics.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
A few people in our area have noticed a man on an e scooter casing the parked cars. He drives by slowly and looks in the windows. No point telling the police. They wouldn't do anything.
Flipping roadworks! Our usual local route through the next village is closed for a week while a water pipe is being installed to a new house. So we have to go round via a lengthy detour. Today we got stuck at a busy junction with four way traffic lights. Sat at a near standstill for over 15 minutes. Finally got past the junction and met another set of lights just up the road. Is there any coordination going on anywhere? Just heard today that the village road which will be reopening at the weekend, will be closing again in the following week for some other repair to be done. Grrrr.
There is a woman who rides an illegal e-scooter past our local police station 4 times a day. On two of those journeys she has her primary school aged daughter on the thing with her. She must have been seen, but the police chose not to do anything about it.
Never thought of that the coppers working from home!! I first encountered this little delight on the electric scooter way back at the beginning of the year. Friend and I on the narrow village path, had to jump out of her way, she screamed at me to**** off,and continued screaming this until she got out of sight, probably 300 ft away. A boy looks about 10 rides one, fast on the path. For weeks now, she goes by every evening with another teenager on it,to the Tesco express.Hubby 40 years motor trade, says it's doing in excess of 30mph!
Buy yourself an old lady’s walking stick to take with you on your walks and just happen to drop it as she approaches.
Oops, sorry. Did you fall off? Oh dear.
I've 'had a small seizure' whilst walking to the station, carrying my briefcase, and swung round at 'the surprise' of a cyclist on the pavement. I knocked him gently into a hedge!!
