Our GP surgery had a new IT system installed early this year and since its installation we have been unable to access our records on-line for any date prior to the new system.  There have been countless complaints from patients to the surgery's Facebook page and the response has always been along the lines of needing to log out of the system/re-register/problem being investigated or any other excuse they could come up with.
I contacted them again early this week and today received this response "In February there was a national change to online access.  All patients nationwide were given access from 2/2/23, if you are requiring access to your Medical Records before that date you will need to call into the Surgery and complete a form for the Admin Team"
At no time has this been circulated to patients, presumably because they don't actually want to do the work required.  Just about sums up our surgery.

  • I was going to whinge about spending 2hours in a phone shop yesterday,  but after reading @BenCotto 's post I  thought it was a bit trivial.
I  had a bone scan for the same reasons as you Ben it really wasn't too bad, very noisy even with  the esr defenders on  but otherwise OK. Stay strong.

Suella Braverman says “rough sleeping is a lifestyle choice”.

In a small number of cases that will be true.  There are those out there who will not accept the rules of available accommodation regarding such things as alcohol, drug use or pets.  If they make that decision it is a lifestyle choice.  Nobody has everything exactly the way they want it.  In life a choice is made as to whether 'x' or 'y' is acceptable and decisions made on the basis of the answer be is 'Yes' or 'No'.

Somebody posted this headline from one of the 'red top' supposed newspapers.

High street shoe chain with 300 locations to close store doors for good

I don't know about anybody else, but I would read that as they are shutting all their stores.  The reality is that one store is closing but moving to a different location in the same town!

And how, @KT53, would you read the (apocryphal?) headline from WW2

‘Eighth Army Push Bottles Up Germans’ ?

New neighbours over the road. They moved in yesterday and immediately shoved their cat out of the door to wander freely in the street. Now they're outside calling for it while fireworks go off all around. They've also been blocking people's drives and the pavement already. Just a hunch but I doubt they're going to be very thoughtful neighbours. :|
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
