pre and post tensioned slabs are still A Thing. There is an increased focus now on 'the Circular Economy' which requires some thought to be given to how the building is taken down and then reused, which might kill it off.

I was stung by a hornet this morning, oh my, far worse than a normal wasp sting. It was my own fault it was on the floor and the cloth I used to pick it up in wasn't thick enough so the sting went through it. I've been icing it, taken a anti-histamine tablet and pain relief, good job it wasn't a bee as I am allergic to their stings. I now have a very swollen and red finger of my middle right hand.   :'(

The woman may have been the biggest drug dealer in the world or the worst serial killer the world has known, but what is it with American police and guns eh? Correct that - strike out police as it seems that it's pervasive across their society.
I think the Groucho Marx test should be applied to gun ownership in America - all the people who want to have one should be refused - even the police.

    Conjoinder (is that an Americanism?)
I hope Trump gets the book thrown at him for inciting the riots - as with the guns around and the idiots carrying them the situation could have been insanely worse.

Why on earth would anybody construct a public building whose materials have a 30 year lifespan? Yeh I know cost, short termism, backhanders .....
I would expect my garage to last longer than that - if I ever get around to replacing it.
I designed a school building years ago and the local council insisted that it was built with long-term durability in mind rather than the school's request for something more budget friendly. A few years later the whole school was demolished because they found asbestos in all the other buildings but my durable building is still there all boarded up and empty in the middle of a waste ground.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
