I think it very much depends on the car and the type of journey. If you notice that big a difference then great. I found there's nothing in it milage wise on short runs but with our older car, it makes a difference on the motorway.
Just on my third email to Beko. Customer services asked for further details of the problem, which I duly sent them. A different customer service agent has just come back to me, having done nothing more than cut and pasted the troubleshooting section from the instruction book. I managed to keep my reply on the polite side of rude, and have requested the problem to be passed to someone higher up the food chain. Rather wish I’d splashed out on a Bosch machine, my preferred brand, but I only really use the tumble dryer for towels and bed linen, so I was hoping to get away with one of the cheaper heat exchanger models.
Ah right fairy. Years ago, probably 15, diesel was £1.50 at the BP where we used to live, hubby said it would never come down. It used to be cheaper here, than where our daughter lives in Crawley, now it's cheaper there.
Thanks for the clarification but actually since we only put about 70l between both cars, the old Toyota has a 60l tank on its own so at this rate it won't be long.
Yes - it would be around £80 for me to fill my tank now, compared to around fifty-ish about 2 years ago, although I never fill it completely. Around 3 quarters full is supposed to be best -economically. A full tank means more weight. So they say anyway
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Was in My local supermarket today and they had giant Allium bulbs half price to clear. I was thinking about getting them way before Christmas but felt I should spend the money on other things at the time etc then missed the planting window. I know it’s not the time to plant them but thought what the hell, at half price they may not be great this year but should be ok next year etc. anyway grabbed the last 3, got home and 1 was rotten away! Bang went my saving as I never took my receipt at the till. Other 2 are in the ground so we will see how they go.
What a difference it's made to the mileage we've used when we filled the car with E5 instead of E10.
I know E10 is supposed to be 'greener', but surely getting significantly more miles out of a car burning E5 would be better.
Interesting. How much difference are you seeing?
I filled the car with E5 on New Year's Eve (tank usually gets filled when it's 3/4s empty). The petrol lasted till I put £58's worth in the tank on 15th Feb. Before then it was a steady £50 each month, and I'm pretty certain we've been running about a bit more in January. Sadly these days the car seem to only go for trips to the hospital... Tesco is still delivering as we're more or less isolating as OH is immune compromised.
The above is as 'scientifically' far as I go '.
When I filled the car on the 15th I got muddled up between E10 and E5 at the pump and put the blinking wrong petrol in. Still it'll be confirmation for my 'theory'.
Just edited to add, it appears Top Gear agrees with me..

I'm ending up with giving loads away at the bottom of the drive!
