I was feeling stressed this week. We were due to go on holiday this weekend and things were getting hectic in the lead up. The car broke a suspension spring, then the washing machine started playing up again and both needed to be working for us to go away. Not to mention problems with work and worrying about leaving the garden in this weather. Luckily though the school decided at the last minute that a five year old can't miss two days of lessons to go and experience the big wide world so we've had to cancel it all anyway They'll be making up the time they lost for the teachers' strikes and inset days no doubt. Still I'll have more time in work to earn back the £700 it's cost me to fix the car and replace the washing machine.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Well, the abundant and generous cherry tree has just ripening fruit, half of which is on the floor, the birds have had most of the rest already, my orange achillea has turned out pink, and I've got a slow puncture on a 4 month old car tyre. 🤨 #firstworldproblems
It has come to my attention since my recent return that several olde-timee regular posters have now become occasional commenters, now and again the odd time. They have regressed...to lurking. I find this unacceptable. Stop it! It's good to be back in the groove covered in kack and smelling of bonfire. Hello to all whom I haven't tripped over in recent threads BECAUSE YOU'RE LURKING!
Sorry, @plant pauper - I come into the "lurking" category much of the time. Too much to do in the garden is my frequent excuse, together with a husband who needs TLC. Plus I'm totally unable to fire off a contribution to a thread without tinkering with it before posting... ...but hello to you too...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
