Weather forecast for today - high of 30C and a possible "storm" later which could deliver .3mm of rain.    Not worth measuring is it?

We had torrential (biblical proportions) rain all day yesterday and my puddles all joined up on the 'lawn'. Gonna need a bigger bog garden!

Quite @B3.   Dry as it is I still have slugs - the small grey damaging kind - and loads of snails tho most of those have gone into drought protection mode now, hiding in the shade with a skin/membrane to retain moisture.

I don't see why they can't harvest excess water in wet regions and run it in pipes with solar powered pumps beside the motorways into reservoirs in drier areas

I was going to be curmudgeonly about what I felt was a plethora of American accents on radio 4 just lately, then Stanley Tucci was (is) on Desert Island Discs.
