Is it a leakage issue @kt53? Can you try cutting a balloon and threading it over the tap and between where the tap and timer meet up? It has helped me to some extent with my hozelock connection.
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus
La toilette in French means general washing, teeth cleaning, hair brushing etc. and accessorising. (ear rings, necklaces, bangles etc;) Les toilettes means the loo.
We use the word toilet for that evacuation place.
The word toilet in French is "Le Cabinet" or Le Water' - the water closet. So you say "Où est le Cabinet" ou "Où sont les toilettes?"
Here's a story: I phoned a person who wanted English lessons. Her husband (a doctor) answered and said she would phone me back as she was cleaning Le Cabinet (which is also French for the surgery). I thought - how very personal and familiar of him to inform me that his wife was in the loo! It's been a standing joke ever since and a light on the word Cabinet.

Thanks, but it's not a problem with the connection to the timer. Water was actually coming out from every join in it. Something internally has clearly failed in a big way.
I've been moaning for days about not having any rain and it's just hit 26c here. As you say, far too hot to do anything.
Our peaceful day has just been shattered, there's a big family party going on opposite. I don't actually mind though as long as it's not noisy late at night.
Not really or at all a curmudgeon but nowhere else to put it. Two new sets of neighbours on one side. They each seem to be preparing for their individual bank holiday garden things. Both sets in their 30s/40s. I feel so old in body but not in mind.😑
Invite yourself to the party/ies @B3 If you can clamber over the fence without help, they will surely accept you as a 30/40 year old and you can dance the night away ( or not )
