    You need a water scarecrow @Rubytoo. Carefully positioned just on overnight.

    What a disgusting moron. You have my sympathy. I used to have a flat about a mile from Hampden football ground.... :|
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • I'm living inside my head, apparently, since a sinus infection went into my ears.  It's made me - hopefully temporarily - completely deaf in one ear, and partly so in the other.  Trying to sing Bach at a rehearsal last night was definitely Not a Good Idea.  But I also have a RTBC...   :)
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    @Fairygirl What a good idea.
    You would have needed a water cannon.

    Water restrictions in the UK.  20 inches of snow in Majorca.  Snow in Barcelona.  No such thing as climate change.  All the problems are down to Brexit. :D
  • What about Cucurb(rex)it ?   :D

    Some of the streams here are verging on drying up. Down to the last trickle in places. everywhere still feels muddy and wet underfoot though.

    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Car covered in starling shi*e. OH parked under a tree in Sainsbury car park.
    Mind set has changed. In the past we would have got the hose out. This time a bucket and a watering can. Did the job perfectly well. Never occurred to us to use the hose.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Severn Trent has recently installed water meters to all properties, although we don't have to move to metered usage.  I checked on their website to see how much we might save by going to metered usage.  Only 2 of us in the house - potential saving £33 per year!  I'm not going to bother.  Tempted to turn the tap on permanently in the loo in our utility room!
