Today they started on the building site next door. They started with a flail to knock down all the brambles that have sprung up in the three years since they last did it.  While the man in charge was telling me that he had been told there was a deer but he wasn't really convinced, she was seen on the other side at the alternate entrance, getting ready to cross a road with 10,000 vehicles a day.  I hope she finds somewhere safe to go tonight, as they plan on flailing the other half tomorrow. :'(

I hope so too @fidgetbones and that she doesn't already have a fawn in there.

He can feed himself when I'm not around @pansyface but is definitely not the boss of me or my kitchen and pantry and he's definitely the under-gardener.

Don't get too excited.  I've seen a photo on sideways on another ID thread.

Horrible daffs just about to flower again. Wouldn't you know it? I'm too soft. I really ought to hoik them out but I never do.  Never mind. The nice ones have sprouted. Something to look forward to.

Damn. I uploaded, successfully, about 8 photos before settling on the picture of Millie - or Tourette’s as we now call her as she has taken to swearing robustly in the middle of the night.
