The great thing about the National Grid system is that it really is just that - a grid.  If one component fails it is often possible to deliver the supply via a different route, with minimal disruption.  Not always the case in major outages.

I was looking for a UK friendly book of recipes for my new air fryer.
Many of these 'genuine '  reviews are a hoot.
Here's a couple for your delectation.

    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Heaven help anyone trying to make sense of the actual recipes if they are written in a similar style.  Perhaps the "reviewers" used the air fryer to cook their brains :D

Edit. Just realised I didn’t see the fork and so mistook the gaps between the tines of the fork for bony fingers. 😊

..and who knew - air fryers help you lose weight...
Not if you eat the contents every hour of the day they won't.  ;)
Do you think any of those people went to school? I presume it's just been translated [badly] although I think folk are just paid to do reviews, and then they just sling any old name on them.
    Or am I cynical?

  • Yes I was just thinking Google translate isn't that good. 😅

Today's grump - I've got backache from yesterday's gardening session. I think it's only a tweaked muscle so it'll be better in a day or two, but it's put me out of action today.

Sympathies @JennyJ .  I have been suffereing with a slipped disk in my neck for thelast 6 weeks so severly restricted in what I can do with my left arme and shoulder.  It is slowly easing and today I fancied going out and doing a bit of weeing and pruning but it has been wet. All day and not as forecast.

Tomorrow is set to be fine but I'll be out all day at patchwork.  The rest of the week looks wet.   B*ms.

OH's hip replacement has been cancelled for the 6th time. Too many Covid and flu patients in the hospital. He has been waiting over 3 years.

I'm so sorry @Busy-Lizzie.  I can only imagine how frustrated you both are.

I was really hoping it would finally happen this time @Busy-Lizzie. I can only imagine how you both  must be feeling.
