Religion is , at best, superstitious mumbo jumbo.
At worst, it's the most evil form of brainwashing ever devised by Man. Used to control and to justify the persecution and murder of those of different  / no religion.
Christianity has been pretty high up there on the " mine is a religion of peace, convert or I'll kill you " form of "missionary "
    Devon.

Is there anything in the Bible about a man having to forgive his wife for being terrible at recycling?
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • There’s stuff about motes and beams and judging others in the Sermon on the Mount @wild edges … I reckon it refers to spouses as well as ‘brothers’ 😆

Not sure about motes but beams have definite repurposing possibilities

"Isn't there a type of paint which remains "wet" as such or that sort which the police sometimes use which remains on your skin for ever and a day ?  That might sort the teens out  The Lycra Lot may not want their bikes to catch it too - particularly on the handlebars."
Anti vandal paint. Black sticky stuff supposed to be painted above 7ft. We used it on one of the Pharmacies I managed because kids were climbing on the flat roof.  Above 7ft on the drainpipes they were climbing up.  Cue the mother of one of the little darlings coming in to complain that his nice new hoody was covered in the sticky stuff  and it wouldn't come out. I advised her to report it to the police and while she was at it she could explain what her darling child was doing on the Pharmacy roof.  Shortly after that we got permission for razor wire.
  • Thanks @fidgetbones I hadn't realised it was black nor about the minimum height limit so not much use for Pansy's white wall then.

Hadn't meant to start a religious war so sorry if anyone was upset.  It was really my sore knuckles I was whingeing about.  The church itself is stuffed with history going back to the original Priory.  Being able to poke around in the parts which aren't open to the general public is, on reflection, worth a graze or 2  :)

I have a strong urge to visit a garden centre but it's still too early in the year for me. I only have a small unheated porch and I really want to buy a selection of those little individual plants you can get for growing on. They were really successful last year and definitely no teabags!
I know I should wait another few weeks but it's awful hard 😐

I feel for you @B3. I too, want to go out and do something, the sun is shining and I'm itching to get started. However it's not quite up to 10c out there and I'm still a bit breathless so might have to hold my horses for another day or two.
