@Lizzie27 colour lasers have come down massively in price so I would still consider looking at those, although they are still dearer than inkjet.  Running costs can be considerably lower so overall cost of ownership is important.
30ish years ago the company I worked for decided they wanted to do their own colour printing direct from computers in the office.  The cost then was many 10s of 1000s of £ per unit.  Colour laser printers for office use were very much in their infancy then.

I had a CT scan at the hospital yesterday. Four times I was asked for my date of birth and address, not once for my name. They still called me in by my name though.
Curmudgeonly grump. The appointment, for 18:35 on a Sunday, came through the post on the preceding Saturday. Slightly more than 24hrs notice for a resident of a town that has no Sunday public transport, and the appointments desk is open Mon-Fri.

This isn't just me right?... :/

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

My latest experience of medical appointments has been pretty good.  My wife and I were both invited for our annual health check and got appointments at our preferred surgery within 10 days (non-urgent) and with consecutive times.  I've also been given a date for my hip replacement and had confirming letter within 72 hours plus a pre-op appointment 4 weeks before the surgery.  Loads of info on what to expect, what to take in with me etc.
Prior to that the experiences hadn't been so good, so looking on things as improving.

Not sure what that is supposed to mean, wild edges. I can’t make it work on any level. Spelling mistake? Hopelessly failed pun? Won’t be splashing out on one, that’s for sure.

I think the first letter is probably meant to be a B, but that's not what it looks like to me........

The SM I use has changed the labelling on its fruit and veg. The label now says:
    'No Date.
    Saves waste'

Or some such. Right. So where before it had a date - so someone like me, who shops once a week - could buy stuff that potentially would last, it is now a lottery.
Do they think we're mug punters?

    Shouldn't the label say:
    'No date.
So it's not left on our shelves and goes off after you've paid for it - so it's your problem'

...I suppose the good thing is that by not printing that, they're saving on ink and power and thereby saving the world - and increasing their profits. Good old SM.

You can usually tell by looking at or feeling vegetables whether they're going to last or not.
