So your aunt was a smuggler @BenCotto!  Immigration was right to pull her over!

I've got a curry bubbling away in the slow cooker. The smell is killing me :s
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Why is it that when you pot up leftovers, the container is too big but when you pot on a plant, the container is too small?

We went on a six week trip , Birmingham to Singapore to Perth to Brisbane to Cairns to Papua New guinea and then return via Brisbane. We had a  load of dive gear and  underwater camera equipment.  Only at Cairns did they know what it was. Otherwise every time we opened it up, got questioned, swabbed, quick frisk and on our way.  Having already gone through security at Brisbane, a man waved his wand at me and asked me if I would mind? at that point I laughed. This is no laughing  matter madam.  No , I agreed, I get swabbed every time. Do I look like a terrorist? No madam, you look the exact opposite  (female , blonde, blue eyes,  middle aged , travelling with a man) to what we are looking for, but you average it out, so that what we are looking for can't complain they are being victimised.

Often as not the same problem here @wild edges so I sorted out the lot, matched up lids and bottoms and then carefully organised a cupboard with one shelf for all lids and the other 2 for all the bottoms so we could get more in.  The unmatched were recycled as seed trays or paint trays etc.

Needless to say, OH does not grasp the concept so I still find lids in the wrong place or just missing.

No no, don't you realise,  the lids all shuffle around in the night.  It's not his fault at all.  😅

If it was possible to identify a terrorist, drug smuggler or any other 'undesirable' simply by looking at them, the security job would be a lot easier.

Re lids, I was getting concerned about the number of plastic bags and containers I was using in the kitchen, so I stocked up on glass containers from ikea. I was able to get various depths of square and round containers that use the same size lids. ( the lids are plastic though) It has removed the problem I used to have with a pile of lids none of which seemed to have a matching container.
Works better than my solution for missing socks. I standardised on the black and navy knee length socks I wear in the winter under trousers. They all shrink at different rates! Takes me ages to match them up by length, and of course I have to match them in daylight, otherwise I can’t tell the difference between the black and the navy.
