  • Thanks, @Sheps. It's almost a bad habit of mine, to work on f2.8 to get the better background but it does mean less sharp all the way through on the subject.

    Vapourer moth caterpillar. Amazing things.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

  • Hi , not in my garden, but just saw this on a plant label in local garden centre. Oh and I'm in the UK by the way . Looked like a 🦂 never seen anything like it.

  • Thanks very much . Just googled it and it's a female , the thing at the back that I thought  was a 🦂  tail  :) is for laying her eggs.
